SEEE update April 2022- e-mails etc
This message is being sent to all Explorer Scouts/Network members registered with South East Explorer Expeditions (SEEE for short), and to adults held on the SEEE OSM.
This email is to let you know about some organisational and administrative changes for the SEEE programme – most are behind the scenes but there are a few changes that you need to aware of.
New Email Addresses to contact SEEE
The most important one is to swap to use our two new email addresses:
- email@example.com – for Explorer Scouts (or their parent, guardian or carer) and Network members taking part in SEEE activities
- firstname.lastname@example.org – for all other communication, typically adult volunteers helping with SEEE activities or Unit Leaders supporting participants with DofE and expeditions
Please use these email addresses from now on, as our old mailbox at email@example.com is being deactivated.
The changes are mainly “behind the scenes” and aren’t changing what we do – we just need to let you know that we have a new email address firstname.lastname@example.org and would ask you to use this from now onwards.
We receive many hundreds of emails in a month and these new email addresses will help us manage and respond to your emails more effectively.
SEEE is now part of the South East Scotland Region having moved from Craigalmond District Scout Council reflecting the growth of our programme, participation from Explorer Scouts and Network members from most Districts in the Region, and the support the Region can provide for the growth and development of the expedition programme. Our programme activities and operation remain broadly unchanged and now fall under the governance and policies of South East Scotland Regional Scout Council, SC010563South East Scotland Region(SCO10563), www.sesscouts.org.uk.
When using OSM, you may see that our name is now displayed as “South East Scotland Region: SE Explorer Expeditions” instead of “Craigalmond Explorers: SE Explorer Expeditions”, and Unit Leaders sharing records on OSM should use the new name from now onwards.
If you have any questions please email us on the appropriate email address above.
