South East Region runs frequent courses for First Response which are advertised through usual communications channels and is the standard requirement for volunteers who are involved in delivering activities to young people.
SEEE engages a not-for profit accredited First Aid training provider to run advanced First Aid courses. These are customised courses for Scouting, based on a standard course which provides recognised qualifications ( 2-day Outdoor First Aid & 3 Day First Aid at Work ( FAAW ), and adds the extra aspects required for Scouting. By completing this course you fully meet the requirements for First Response, and the Full First Aid certificate without needing any further assessment or validation. The training organisation has trainers with backgrounds in mountain rescue and the emergency services, and in training young people in the Explorer age range.
