Volunteering with SEEE

South East Explorer Expeditions has grown over 4 years to support young people in South East Scotland with the opportunity to experience adventure, challenge, and fun while developing skills in independence, teamwork, and resilience.

This year we’re offering choices of expeditions – hillwalking, biking and canoeing – for DofE Bronze, Silver, Gold and Queen’s Scout Awards to over 190 Explorer Scouts and Network members.

To provide those opportunities, we’re expanding and seeking volunteers to join and expand the core team.

We work hard to ensure our expeditions are fun, create great camaraderie, give opportunities to develop new skills, and create positive lifetime memories – and that as true for us as volunteers as for the participants!

We’re all from different backgrounds – parents, uniformed leaders, individuals with skills and experience as hillwalker, canoeists and bikers, walking, canoeing, biking and the great outdoors so please don’t feel you have to have been a Scout, be a leader, or wear a Uniform to make an important contribution. Whatever your level of experience, your help is welcome, and we can provide opportunities to build up your experience and qualifications with the support of fellow team members.

Please do get in touch by completing the form below – all we need are your name, email address, but if you have time note any specific options you are interested in, other relevant information, and any questions you may have. Our roles are flexible about when, where, and how you can be involved to match what’s practical for you.

We’ll get back to you and will be happy to discuss options, and you can decide what suits you best.

Many thanks – and if you want to get in touch again, just email us on enquiries@see-expeditions.org.uk !
